Evergreen, a national organization that aims to inspire action to green cities, is organizing an upcoming Salmon in the City Workshop about the importance of salmon in urban settings.
The workshop will be taking place in Surrey at the City Centre Library on December 11 from 6 to 8:30 pm. It will include discussion about the Serpentine River watershed and the salmon return as well as some interactive watershed activities. Evergreen regularly works in Tynehead Park managing invasive plant species. We also have Cam Bennett from Metro Vancouver and Chris Hamming from Serpentine Enhancement Society as guest speakers. It would be a great way for those interested to do some networking and learn about the importance of salmon!
